The Whitewright Women’s Club will be holding a Framed Art Exhibit by area artists in the 111 building next door to the Whitewright Area Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center. It is free & will be open 10-5 Sat and 1-5 Sun. Donations will be accepted that will go towards their scholorship fund.

It is Spring clean up time in Whitewright.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR WATER BILL RECEIPT FOR PROOF OF RESIDENCY FOR DUMPING.
ITEMS ACCEPTED-These are to be taken to the city barn.
Appliances without freon, furniture, stoves, water heaters, televisions, and other bulky items which cannot be picked up during regular sanitation services. Small items must be placed in throw away boxes or plastic bags, lumber must be tied in bundles and less than four (4) feet in length weighing less than fifty (50) pounds.

Tires, motor oil, aerosols, weed killers, household chemicals, oil based and/or latex paint, paint thinner or solvents, lead batteries, antifreeze, roofing shingles, cross-ties, concrete, bricks, rock or dirt.
All brush and tree pruning’s must be takenI to the brush pile at the Wastewater
Treatment Plant.

The Whitewright Fiddle Fest features the best fiddle and guitar players from around the country. Winners from different age divisions are picked from a select group of judges that then compete against each other for the coveted Louis Franklin Championship crown. The honor of the players name associated with the title is quickly becoming the top title across the nation.
The Whitewright Fiddle Fest featuring the Louis Franklin Championship will be held on May 29th at the Whitewright Civic Center in downtown Whitewright. The festivities will start at 10 am and will go until we have a winner!
When was the last time you watched up close and personal, world class musicians from around the country perform for free?
Food & Beverages will be available at the Civic Center this year.
