Community Development Corporation
(4B Board)
With more and more children in Whitewright they purchased the land with their own funds as well as state grants and private donations of time and resources. The park now has playground equipment; a skateboard pad, and a basketball court. A new Gazebo with Grills and Picnic Tables is already getting a great deal of use. Other Picnic Tables and Exercise Equipment are a project of Howe Eagle Scouts and are now in place. The walking path has been created as well as the xeriscape garden on the West end of the park.
Future plans for the Children’s Park include finishing the Park with a splash pad, historical signs, water fountains, bathrooms, plus maintenance.
The 4B is making Whitewright a safer, more beautiful and a happier place to live.

Recently a beautiful new Xeriscape Garden bed was created in the park.
Part of our new park included a skateboard pad that receives plenty of use from our local youth.
